Résumé
An irreverent romp based on an Irish family that is never short of drama. Agnes Brown, played by stand-up comic Brendan O'Carroll, is a sometimes potty-mouthed widow who does her best to run her rather unusually large family, but usually ends up interfering in their lives. She has her hands full with her five sons, Mark, Rory, Dermot, Trevor and another whose name never passes her lips, together with her romantically-minded daughter Cathy who is forever chasing the fellas. Agnes prides herself on having an answer ready for any situation, but all too often catches the wrong end of the stick ... with farcical results. As a seasoned stand-up artist, Brendan is never afraid to break the fourth wall when things go wrong during filming, and bloopers are retained in episodes to add to the sense of chaos and comedy.
