Join English naturalist Steve Backshall as he uses stunning visual effects to educate children about the attributes of various dinosaurs. Each episode focuses on several of the beasts that shared some common traits and explains the pros and cons of their various abilities. Along the way, we learn about how the weather could have proven dangerous to these magnificent animals; we examine the speed talents of the Troodon; we discover the tracking skills of the Daspletosaurus; we meet the armoured tank that is the Nodosaurus. Steve also manages to recreate the end of the dinosaur age when an asteroid collided with Earth and wiped them off the face of the planet.
