Eagles are the most powerful birds in the sky, but what lies behind their extraordinary abilities? To find out, we follow the dramatic story of a family of bald eagles in Iowa, as two chicks face the challenges of life in the wild. We join bird specialist Lloyd Buck and his golden eagle Tilly, to put her skills to the test. Working with leading scientists, and armed with cutting-edge filming technology, they undertake a series of high octane challenges to find out how eagles are able to hunt large prey, use pin-sharp vision, and harness invisible air currents. And we meet remarkable eagles from around the world, from crowned eagles in Zambia hunting bats on the wing, to the Verreaux's eagles in Oman who work as a team.
