Grand Tours of Scotland's Lochs

Environmental and social documentary series in which historian Paul Murton explores the varied and captivating lochs of Scotland, from the long fjord-like saltwater expanses along the west coast, to the numerous inland freshwater lochans of the Grampians and northern terrain of Ross and Sutherland. There are more than 31,000 lochs of varying sizes in Scotland, and each has its own story to tell. Paul is joined by the people who live and work on the shorelines, with tales of long-lost industries, battles and dreams. From climbing ancient volcanoes, to visiting wind-swept castles and isolated villages inhabited since the Viking era, Paul makes his way around the country and its vast expanses of waterways.
